Post Doctoral Training Program

Overview

The postdoctoral training program in Endocrinology and Metabolism at The University of Chicago provides advanced training for qualified applicants in a broad area of hormone and metabolic research. Funded in large part by the National Institutes of Health through an Endocrinology Training grant, the program provides the scientist with training in basic endocrine research preparing them for academic research careers.

Through interactions with members of the endocrinology section and other investigators within The University of Chicago, the trainee will be provided with a broad and in-depth laboratory based training experience in the latest molecular, cellular and biophysical techniques utilized in endocrinology and metabolism research. Trainees receive and attend weekly lecture series on recent developments in endocrinology research presented by national and international authorities in the area.
