Dr. Friedman specializes in managing infectious diseases in immunocompromised hosts, particularly those who have had solid organ transplants, stem cell transplants, or have cancer. He is interested in evaluating patients before transplantation to help reduce infectious risks and in customizing preventive strategies. Additionally, he has both clinical and research interests in invasive fungal infections, studying the epidemiology of infections in transplant recipients and participating in clinical trials for novel antifungals.
