Salary and Benefits

Current stipend levels for residents are as follows:

  • PGY-2 $63,800
  • PGY-3 $66,000
  • PGY-4 $69,000

The University of Chicago Medical Center has developed an extensive benefits program for residents and their dependents. Dependents include a housestaff member’s spouse/same sex domestic partner and any unmarried dependent children under the age of 23 residing with the housestaff member.
