The Section of Rheumatology has a well-developed basic science research
program in which we train PhDs for productive careers in biomedical
research. Our primary focus is on understanding the development and
regulation of lymphocytes. These processes are fundamental to the pathogenesis
of most autoimmune diseases. Our faculty also participates in the postdoctoral
training programs in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Developmental Biology
and Pathology.
