Because the bulk of our trainees are supported through the National Institutes of Health Training grant, applicants must be either United States citizens or permanent Residents. Highly qualified applicants with previous research experience may be supported by other mechanisms and these individuals are encouraged to complete the application. All applicants must have completed an approved residency training in internal medicine, pediatrics or surgery and must be licensed by the State of Illinois at the time they begin their fellowship.
