ACGME Grant Writing Series Schedule for Hematology/Oncology
February 24, 2012 - The Process: From A Good Idea to a Good Grant; Discussion of the process of evaluating research ideas with mentors and developing a testable hypothesis that is grant-worthy.
March 2, 2012 - Writing the Grant - Specific Aims; session would include detailed information and examples (both good and bad) for the specific aims.
April 20, 2012 - Writing the Grant - 'Research Strategy (Approach)'; session would include detailed information and examples (both good and bad) for the significance, innovation, and methods sections of grants.
April 27, 2012 - Applying for the YIA and K awards: Discussion of YIA and K awards in particular though will also include highlights of grant writing as seen to be applicable per discussants.
June 15, 2012 - Grants: the Review Process; Discussion of the review process, how to reply to comments/criticisms, and make meaningful changes based on reviewers' comments.
