The Section of Gastroenterology provides outstanding care for a wide range of clinical problems focusing on disorders related to the digestive system. These conditions may involve the liver, stomach, colon (intestine), biliary tract, gallbladder and bowel. All of our physicians are specialists in gastroenterology and have expertise in diagnosing and treating a broad range of diseases, from inflammatory bowel disease, to gallstones, to nutritional disorders, to cancer of the stomach, liver or related organs.

The Gastroenterology outpatient practice provides patients with the opportunity to select from more than 20 highly qualified specialists. Our physicians work closely with nurses, clinical staff and other sub specialists and surgeons to provide coordinated care for their patients. Physicians conduct more than 13,000 patient visits per year in the outpatient practice. We are recognized as an international leader in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. Our gastroenterologists are experts in the treatment of bleeding in the digestive tract, constipation, diarrhea, esophageal reflux, gallstones, hemorrhoids, irritable bowel syndrome, swallowing disorders and ulcers to name a few.
