The newly established MacLean Center Library exists as a non-lending resource for faculty, fellows, and students working in the field of clinical medical ethics.

The library currently houses an interdisciplinary collection of over two thousand books and visual media related to clinical medical ethics. The library subscribes to twenty-five journals related to medicine and ethics, and presently holds full volumes of the Hastings Center Report, Journal of Clinical Ethics, Cambridge Quarterly of Healthcare Ethics, Kennedy Institute of Ethics Journal, Journal of Medicine and Philosophy, National Catholic Bioethics Quarterly, and Theoretical Medicine and Bioethics. A searchable catalog of the library's resources is available here.

The collection was started with generous donations from Drs. Edmund Pellegrino, Leon Kass, and James J. Smith, and it is expected to grow with further acquisitions in the coming years.

The library space also functions as a state-of-the-art conference room, and is regularly used for ethics seminars, lectures, and meetings hosted by the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics.
