The University of Chicago has one of the foremost groups of Pediatric Ethics specialists in the world. The three leaders--Drs. Lainie Ross, John Lantos and Bill Meadow--have published widely in the field of pediatric ethics and are recognized internationally for their work. This core group, along with five other pediatrician-ethicists, provides ethics expertise that complements the scientific and technical expertise of the physicians at the Comer Children's Hospital. The MacLean Center Ethics Fellowship Program had now trained more than 25 academic pediatric ethicists.
