5 DOM Faculty Named as Bucksbaum Institute Scholars

The Bucksbaum Institute for Clinical Excellence, under the direction of Dr. Mark Siegler, recently named five Department of Medicine faculty as faculty scholars. Four faculty were selected as the Senior Faculty Scholars representing a new program aimed at distinguished senior clinicians in recognition of their superior skills as a physicians and teachers. They are: Allen Anderson, MD (Cardiology), Philip Hoffman, MD (Hematology/Oncology), David Rubin, MD( Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition) and Lisa Vinci, MD (General Internal Medicine). John Yoon, MD (Hospital Medicine) was selected as a Junior Faculty Scholar.
The Bucksbaum Institute for Clinical Excellence, now in its second year, is committed to improving clinical care, the doctor-patient relationship, doctor-patient decision-making, and clinical teaching.
