2021 Open Enrollment Guide

Virtual Open Enrollment Information Sessions

To provide an overview of the many benefits available to you and your family during the 2021 Open Enrollment period, the Benefits Team will be offering three virtual “Open Enrollment Information Sessions.” All sessions will be presented via Zoom beginning at 12pm on:

  • November 3, 2020
  • November 10, 2020
  • November 12, 2020

 

Additionally, the Benefits Office, in collaboration with key benefit providers, such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, TIAA, CVS, VSP, etc., are hosting virtual presentations via Zoom throughout Open Enrollment.

Visit the 2021 Virtual Benefits Fair to view the Open Enrollment Informational Presentation, as well as presentations and materials from all of our vendors.

 

Completing Open Enrollment in Workday

Please refer to the Workday Open Enrollment Quick Reference Guide for instructions on completing Open Enrollment benefit elections in Workday.

Life Events and Employment Status Changes

If you have a life event or employment status change during Open Enrollment, you must first enroll in benefits for the life event before the OE task will become available. If you have a life event or employment status change after Open Enrollment, you must first enroll in benefits for the life event and then complete the OE task again within 5 days. Examples of life events and employment status changes are birth, marriage, new hire and part-time to full-time.

 

New This Year

Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance and Mandatory Retirement Savings Contributions will be displayed in the Open Enrollment steps; current elections will be grayed out and may not be changed during OE. If you wish to change your LTD coverage, you must do so outside of OE by following this Quick Reference Guide.
